Best Korean PDRN Serums in 2026

PDRN is now appearing in everything from lightweight hydrating serums to richer ampoules and retinol treatments.

That variety can make choosing a product confusing. A high PDRN number on the packaging does not automatically mean that one serum is better than another. The source of the ingredient, the rest of the formula and what your skin actually needs matter just as much.

For this guide, I chose six Korean PDRN products with clearly different purposes. The list includes a balanced premium ampoule, a more affordable introduction to salmon-derived PDRN, a serum for dehydration, a brightening-focused formula, a vegan essence and a retinol treatment.

How I Chose These PDRN Serums

I looked at the complete formula rather than choosing products only by popularity or advertised PDRN concentration.

Every product needed a clear reason to be included. Some are mainly designed to hydrate, while others combine PDRN with niacinamide, peptides, ceramides or retinoids.

The list includes serums, ampoules and one essence. Although the names differ, all six are leave-on treatments normally applied before moisturizer.

Best Overall: REJURAN Dual Effect Ampoule

REJURAN Dual Effect Ampoule is my strongest overall choice because it combines PDRN with a well-rounded mix of hydrating and barrier-supporting ingredients.

Best for: Skin concerned with dryness, dullness, uneven-looking texture and early loss of firmness.

The formula contains 5,000 ppm of REJURAN’s c-PDRN®, along with Ceramide NP, squalane, trehalose and niacinamide. Its lightweight texture is designed to fit underneath moisturizer without leaving the skin feeling heavily coated.

What makes it stand out is balance. It is not limited to one concern, but it also avoids adding a stronger active such as retinol. That makes it easier to fit into an established routine when you want hydration, a smoother appearance and a little more support for dull-looking skin.

This is the premium option on the list, but its well-rounded formula may appeal to someone who prefers one multi-purpose serum instead of several overlapping products.

Keep in mind: The formula contains less than 1% synthetic fragrance, so it is not completely fragrance-free.

Best Affordable: Medicube PDRN Pink Peptide Serum

Medicube PDRN Pink Peptide Serum is a more accessible way to try salmon-derived PDRN without starting with a premium ampoule.

Best for: Dry or dull-looking skin that wants hydration with added support for a smoother, firmer appearance.

The Salmon DNA version combines Sodium DNA with niacinamide and several peptides. The texture is moisturizing but light enough for everyday use, and the formula is positioned for dryness, dullness, uneven-looking tone and loss of firmness.

It is a practical choice for someone who wants one serum to cover several mild concerns without introducing retinol or exfoliating acids.

According to Medicube, the pink color comes from vitamin B12 rather than artificial coloring.

Keep in mind: Medicube sells both Salmon DNA PDRN and Rose PDRN Vegan versions. Check that the Amazon variation matches the salmon-derived serum described here. The current ingredient list for the Salmon DNA version also includes fragrance.

Prices change, so it may not always be the least expensive product available.

Best for Dehydrated Skin: Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum

Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum is the most hydration-focused option in this guide.

Best for: Dehydrated skin that feels tight or looks temporarily dull and less plump.

The formula combines salmon-derived Sodium DNA with glycerin, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, several additional forms of hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and hydrolyzed collagen. It has a lightweight texture and is intended to leave a fresh, dewy finish rather than the feel of a rich anti-aging serum.

This makes it particularly suitable for combination or dehydrated skin that wants extra moisture but finds heavier serums uncomfortable.

Its main strength is hydration, not intensive nourishment. Naturally dry skin will still need a good moisturizer over it.

Someone whose main concern is dehydration may also want to compare it with the best Korean hydrating serums for dehydrated skin. A serum does not need to contain PDRN to provide effective hydration.

Keep in mind: The formula contains niacinamide. Avoid layering several niacinamide-heavy products if you already know your skin becomes irritated by them.

Best for Dull, Uneven-Looking Skin: Genabelle PDRN Vita Toning Ampoule

Genabelle PDRN Vita Toning Ampoule is the most targeted choice when hydration is not your only priority.

Best for: Skin that looks dull, tired or uneven and wants a lightweight radiance-focused formula.

The ampoule contains 5,000 ppm of salmon-derived DNA material, along with niacinamide, a vitamin B, C and E complex, tranexamic acid, several forms of hyaluronic acid and peptides. Small vitamin capsules dissolve as the product is spread over the skin.

The combination makes more sense for dull and uneven-looking skin than for someone who only needs a basic hydrating serum.

Despite the longer ingredient list, the formula is designed to feel light and absorb without leaving a rich finish. It can be used underneath moisturizer and sunscreen without adding another creamy layer.

Keep in mind: The ingredient list contains fragrance. Very reactive skin may prefer a simpler option, particularly if it already responds poorly to fragranced skincare.

Best Vegan PDRN Essence: VT Cosmetics PDRN Essence 100

VT Cosmetics PDRN Essence 100 is the best choice for someone who wants to avoid traditional fish-derived PDRN.

Best for: Dry or dull-looking skin that prefers a milky, vegan treatment.

VT uses its PHYTO PDRN® sourced from Korean ginseng rather than salmon. The brand describes the product as an unscented, milky essence containing 100,000 ppm of its vegan PDRN material, along with a ceramide complex and moisturizing ingredients.

Although it is officially called an essence, it occupies the same place in a routine as the other treatments in this guide. Apply it after watery toner and before moisturizer.

Its richer texture makes it more appealing to naturally dry skin than the lighter Anua serum. It may also be enough as the main hydrating treatment in a shorter routine.

Keep in mind: Plant-based ingredients marketed as PDRN should not automatically be treated as chemically identical to traditional salmon-derived PDRN. Choose this product for its complete vegan, hydrating formula, not because you expect it to reproduce the effects associated with professional PDRN treatments.

Best with Retinol: Innisfree Retinol Green Tea PDRN Firming Serum

Innisfree Retinol Green Tea PDRN Firming Serum is the most active treatment on this list.

Best for: Skin concerned with fine lines, uneven texture and loss of firmness that is ready to use a retinoid.

The vegan, fragrance-free formula contains a 1% Triple Retinol Complex, low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid and Innisfree’s proprietary Green Tea PDRN™ complex. Despite its name, Green Tea PDRN™ is not traditional salmon-derived PDRN. Innisfree uses this name for its proprietary green-tea probiotic-derived lactobacillus ferment lysate, which the brand positions as a vegan alternative.

The percentages need to be read carefully. The formula contains 56% Green Tea PDRN™ complex and 1% Triple Retinol Complex – not 56% pure PDRN or 1% pure retinol.

Unlike the other products here, this is not simply a hydrating serum. Retinoids can cause dryness and irritation, particularly when introduced too quickly. The American Academy of Dermatology recommends starting retinoids slowly and using sun protection during the day.

Read our retinol guide for beginners before adding it to your routine if you have not used a retinoid before.

Keep in mind: Introduce it gradually, follow with moisturizer and avoid combining it immediately with several strong exfoliating products. Daily sunscreen is essential while using a retinoid.

Quick Comparison: Which PDRN Serum Should You Choose?

Choose REJURAN Dual Effect Ampoule if you want the most balanced premium formula.

Choose Medicube PDRN Pink Peptide Serum if you want a more affordable introduction to salmon-derived PDRN.

Choose Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum if dehydration and a temporary lack of plumpness are your main concerns.

Choose Genabelle PDRN Vita Toning Ampoule if dullness and uneven-looking tone matter more than rich hydration.

Choose VT Cosmetics PDRN Essence 100 if you want a vegan, milky alternative to fish-derived PDRN products.

Choose Innisfree Retinol Green Tea PDRN Firming Serum if fine lines and uneven texture are your priorities and your skin can tolerate retinoids.

Salmon-Derived vs. Plant-Based PDRN

REJURAN, Medicube, Anua and Genabelle use fish-derived DNA material, so they are not vegan.

VT uses a ginseng-derived material marketed as PHYTO PDRN®, while Innisfree uses a green-tea-derived ferment complex marketed as Green Tea PDRN™.

These plant-based alternatives may be appealing to anyone avoiding animal-derived skincare, but the term is not used in exactly the same way across every formula.

Our guide to what PDRN is in skincare explains the difference between topical products, plant-based alternatives and professional PDRN treatments in more detail.

What to Look for in a PDRN Serum

Do not choose only by the largest number printed on the bottle.

Consider:

  • whether the PDRN is fish-derived or plant-based;
  • which supporting ingredients suit your main concern;
  • whether the texture fits the rest of your routine;
  • whether the formula contains fragrance;
  • whether it includes stronger active ingredients such as retinol.

For dehydration, ingredients such as glycerin and hyaluronic acid are useful. Niacinamide and brightening ingredients may make more sense for dull or uneven-looking skin, while naturally dry skin may prefer a milkier formula.

The complete product matters more than PDRN alone.

The Bottom Line

Choose one product based on what your skin actually needs. A larger PDRN number does not automatically create a better serum, and adding several similar treatments will not necessarily produce better results.
